1. Kiss Mommy Goodnight! – Interview with Lydia Lunch

    April 12, 2009
    by Jerome Rigaud

I am a long-time (life-time?) fan of Lydia Lunch’s work, it is like a powerful shot of inspiration, strength and confidence.
In every form of expression she uses – music, spoken word, film, photography, writing, etc.– all is pure honesty and passion.

So having her performing in Geneva (with Philippe Petit at electron festival) was a wonderful opportunity to finally meet her in person.

It’s the boys of clap.ch doing their interview, i was just filming.
(Sorry about the abrupt beginning of the video, the question was basically- is she feminist..)

An icon, a mirror, a witch, a sex symbol, a killer, a voice for all the loners, a poet of marginality… however you eventually manage to define Lydia Lunch, she already escaped somewhere else (and Sang Bleu can only relate to this very well).

  2. Sang Bleu presents: ICARUS event at the Mamco, Geneva, this thursday!

    March 17, 2009
    by Jeanne-Salome Rochat

Internationally sensational artists Alix Lambert and Vincent de Roguin united on the occasion of a Sang Bleu-hosted one night event at The MAMCO (museum of modern and contemporary art, Geneva).

“This time however I come as the victorious Dionysus, who will turn the world into a holiday… Not that I have much time…”

Nietzsche (from his last “insane” letter to Cosima Wagner)

Everybody—when they were kids—once receive one of those books you can look at (read?) and listen to at the same time. When I was a kid it used to be vinyl records or tapes. Now it probably is CDs or MP3 audiobooks…

  5. Come See Sparks!

Slightly off topic & made more so by the good stuff Max has been posting below (thanks for that) but I have to pledge my love for Ron & Russell of Sparks here. Mainly because in their 38ish years together they’ve been frequently bizarre, almost always easy on the ear & consistently original. But also because I just noticed their show at The Forum In Kentish Town on the 20th March hasn’t sold out yet. As criminal as this is it means there’s still something useful you can get for £20. A little older maybe but no less spectacular.

5 great Sparks tracks here: Wow!
