    CONTEMPORARY SWISS DESIGN

Sang Bleu (middle left and bottom) Designer and tattoo aficionado Maxime Büchi (see W*140 page 072) has helmed Sang Bleu since 2004, when the first issue of this fusion of tattoos, alt-culture, art and fashion reared its richly printed head. Working with Jeanne-Salomé Rochat, Adrian Wilson and Ben Perdue, the Lausanne-based publication is dragging body art into the gallery and onto the catwalk.

2 PAGE REVIEW ON SANG BLEU 5 IN THE LAST ISSUE OF BERLIN-BASED 032C

Both the blank page and the unmarked skin are embryos of possibility that offer graphic prospects in pure, touchable form. These two surfaces collide in the Swiss magazine Sang Bleu, whose recently published issue 5 is the largest yet, and whose size may soon match the Bible’s. Combining tattoo culture, body modification, and fetish with art, fashion, and literature, Sang Bleu conjures an intrepid material territory. …”
